Dragon Mail

Welcome to the new Drakenmere email server. The purpose of this new email server is to provide you with easier access to your SCA accounts and to drastically reduced the amount of junk mail, or spam, that you receive. This email system, called Dragon Mail (MKA webmail), does not have to use an email client (such as Outlook) to download email onto your computer. Instead, the email stays on the system server and you view it by logging into your account via the Drakenmere web page. This means that you can access your email from any computer, whenever you are.

Your Drakenmere email account can also be set up to forward your email to an existing email account. For example, your mail at sample@drakenmere.org can be forwarded to your sample@gmail.com account. To do this, log into your webmail account following this guide and when you get to this screen, click on the "forwarding options " link.

After trying the Web Mail service, if you are not happy with it and would like to use an email client (such as Outlook Express) to receive your mail, please contact the Shire web minister for further instructions.

To log into your web mail account, go to the Shire web site: www.drakenmere.org and locate the Dragon Mail information at the bottom left corner.

By clicking on the Dragon Mail box, you will receive a prompt to log-in. Type your user name and password into the dialog box and click OK. Your user name is your complete email address, for example: yourname@drakenmere.org

For first time users:. Your password has been reset and you should have received the default password from the Shire web minister, if you have not, please email her at **** You will need to reset your password the very first time you log-in******

After the dialog box disappears, you will be taken to the Web Mail screen. At this screen you can reset your password, and choose from two different email services. You may choose either, however, SquirrelMail is recommended for ease of use. Click on the SquirrelMail icon to open your email inbox.

You will need to reset your password the very first time you log-in -- you can do this by clicking on the change password link

After clicking on SquirrelMail your inbox will pop up. This inbox is used just like your regular email client. New messages are in bold, click on a message to open it, compose mail by clicking on the "compose" link, place unwanted email in the trash folder, etc.
