The Shire of Drakenmere invites you to Jour d'Amour V
 

Come one Come all to Jour d'Amour V hosted by the Shire of Drakenmere. Be prepared for plundering, pillaging, walking the plank, fighting till you drop, and eating like the Pirate King you Are – all in celebration of Pirate Love! In the afternoon there will be a regional war practice as Gulf Wars is right around the corner. Come dressed in your best priate clothes and join the Celebration of Love. Fighting Scenerios

Come walk the plank or be hit by Calypso's Kisses....pirate-themed fighting scenerios will be held through the morning. Both rapier and heavy fighting are planned!


War Practice

In the afternoon there will be a Regional RapierPpractice as Gulf Wars is right around the corner!

Heavy Fighters

•  Walk the Plank

Two fighters back to back with daggers. Both take two steps forward and then turn and fight it out. If you step off the “plank” area you have gone into the drink and will sink or get eaten by our good friend Mr. Shark. Winner moves on and looser goes to Davy Jones Locker. [Double Elimination tournament]

•  Ladies of the Court Tournament

It's BACK the Jour d'Amour Tournament. The fights will rotate with one heavy fight followed by one rapier fight. The ladies of the court can determine the fighting styles of the fights and if there will be any repercussions for losing a fight. A single elimination should help the tournament move along nicely. There will be one heavy and one rapier fighter winner for the tournament.

•  Kiss of Love Melee

Have ladies stationed around the field with bags of Calypso's Kisses.

Have the men all line the fighting circle area. Then one start is called then men will start defending themselves and killing people. We will have ladies stationed around the field with bags full of Calypso's Kisses (also known as bean bags). The ladies will then start throwing these kisses at the fighters. If the fighters are hit with a Kiss they must stop fighting and report back to one of the ladies and return her kiss before he or she can continue. [ All for One tournament]

Two fighters back to back one with sword and one with dagger. Both take three steps forward and then turn and fight it out. If you step off the “plank” area you have gone into the drink and will sink or get eaten by our good friend Mr. Shark. Winner moves on and looser goes to Davy Jones Locker.
